A Little About Me:
My fascination with visual communication extends back to my childhood. It was always interesting how
a simple logo, advertisement, or a single image on a book cover can quickly convey so much about the
company or
work it represents. As I grew up, found that I was often guilty of “judging a book by its cover”
and would
gravitate toward certain books and music because of their cool
logos and cover art (as a
result, you
can find a whole bunch of sci-fi and fantasy books in my collection, as well as a ton of
progressive rock
music). I thought it was intriguing how the visuals were used to create an identity for
the product
or a company.
I am also a musician and play guitar in bands (notably iluvatar and Images of Eden) that have
released several CDs of original music internationally over the past 18 years or so. It was mostly
through my desire to create the bands’ logos, flyers, and CD artwork that I came to discover my
interest in graphic design. I bought textbooks and design software and learned a lot on my own before
attending classes with the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and receiving a Graphic Design degree. While I
attended school, I also worked as a Graphic Designer in a small promotions studio.
Today, I work as a graphic designer and a photographer and enjoy drawing and digital art. Take a
